A career working for the government is a rewarding, competitive and challenging type of career to follow. Individuals who have the required qualifications, characteristics, education and experience can apply for professional full time positions with government agencies and organizations. Government funded employers include public educational institutions, hospitals, and the air force to name only a few.
Positions with the air force are not only open to uniformed personnel, but also to civilians. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is made up of uniformed and civilian personnel, whereby the civilian employees either work in the air force head quarters, while others work in the units/bases. Civilian employees working in the HQ are referred to as higher formation civilians while individuals working in the bases are known as lower formation civilians.
Civilians working for the PAF essentially provided the needed skill sets that are not available within their uniform personnel. Additional functions of the civilian employees include; providing continuity in the effective administration and operations of the PAK, and assisting uniform personnel in primary military duties.

Pre-requisites to satisfy as a civilian employee in the Pakistan Air Force:
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
The maximum age for application is 25 for most positions with the exception of technical and driving staff.
Applicants seek technical or driving positions are eligible for application until the ages of 28 and 30 years respectively.
Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the job and must pass a security clearance
